I actually like your hair long and think it suits you, have you thought about maybe a different colour or highlights and keeping it long and maybe style it a little different ?
Try this web page it has a nice little online program that lets you add a picture of yourself and can change hairstyles to the one you like and then print it and take it to a hairdresser to copy it on you.

I always seem to want short hair when it's long and long hair when it's short. I was thinking at least if it was short I could put some extensions in if I was in the mood for longer hair.
But let's say perhaps I'll keep some length, layer it up a bit, add a long side swept bang, and DEFINITELY change the color. Since it's summer I would like to go lighter. I've never been brave enough to go completely blonde. I am not going to make an appointment with the stylist until next week so I have some time to think about it. I also have one person saying I should be brave and add some real color. Either red or pink lol. We'll see. But it will definitely be different. I am tired of mousy brown.
