I thought I'd finally got my microphone to work yesterday, but a lot of feedback developed. How do I eliminate it and still have my microphone working properly?

Try turning the volume down on either your loudspeakers or headphones that are attached to your computer. Feedback is caused by the microphone picking up the sound that is coming out of the loudspeakers / headphones, then the sound is ampified and passed back to the loudspeakers, where it is then picked up by the microphone......and so it goes on. Another thing to try is to move the loudspeakers further from the microphone which will "do" the same thing as turning the volume down but in a purely accoustic way.
I hope this helps.

Cheers

Thanks for the advice. I can't move the speakers, but I can try the other ideas!
