The boys of BelAmi are known as some of the most enticing, fun-loving European cam guys in the world. With his shock of wild blonde hair, a body like a Roman god, and a trademark mischievous grin, the stunning Sven Basquiat is no exception. In just over a year on Flirt4Free, Sven’s free spirit, easy-going, talkative, positive attitude, and unrivaled sexiness have turned him into one of the most recognized and sought after models on the site. His 2018 performance cemented his stardom in place, as he ran a hugely successful Flirt of the Year Viewer’s Choice campaign, collecting a staggering number of votes and nabbing the $25,000 2nd place prize. After closing out the year on such a high note, that success has carried over into 2019. Sven has already claimed both the Valentine’s Day and St. Patrick’s Day Most Unique awards, is the current model of the week, and finds himself a favorite for Flirt of the Month Mr. March. We sat down with BelAmi’s latest superstar to discuss his active lifestyle, his love of naughty cooking shows, and his slew of contest wins. Charles Farley: Congratulations on your awesome Flirt of the Year 2018 showing! How do you feel?
Sven Basquiat: In October 2018, when we started the FOTY competition, I made the decision to try and go for the votes in the Viewer’s Choice contest. It was 3 long months, but in the end, the feeling from winning second place was amazing, even though I was little bit tired after so much online time. When it started, I could hardly imagine I’d take and keep second place. The support from all my fans in chat was incredible. I also met many new fans and we had lots of fun together. So, I owe them all a lot of thanks.
CF: You’ve maintained that competitive spirit into 2019 with your recent win in the Valentine’s Day and St. Paddy’s Contests. What’s your secret?
SB: The 2019 Valentine’s promo was another contest where I really wanted to do well. I was online all 6 days, some days more than 15 hours—even close to 20—and never less than 10. I think that’s the first reason why I was successful. I think I don’t have any special secrets and tactics, I am just enjoying time with my fans and friends online, always smiling, positive and I also love to do things sometimes that are a bit crazy on camera, which some fans might really like. (laughs)
CF: What do you hope to achieve in 2019?
SB: I don’t know what’s coming in 2019, I don’t plan much in my life. I love to live in the moment. I travel often, but still try to be in touch and connect in chat from different places. I don’t give up when things are slow. Just like last year, I am going to set my goals high and do my best. But I’m also going to enjoy travelling, exploring more of the world and of myself.
CF: What will you remember most about these past few amazing months?
SB: I remember many moments, but only the happy ones. If there was anything negative, I have already forgotten (laughs). Many smaller contests and a lot of memories from the bigger ones … and for sure the Maldives. Flirt Summit is one huge amazing memory. If I have a message for all my fans who are coming into my room? I am there for them in good or bad times, they can always come back!
CF: We were so happy that you joined us at Flirt Summit this year. Can you share with us and your fans what was the highlight of that trip for you?
SB: For sure I was also happy to join you all at Summit in the Maldives, meet other models, meet people from Flirt4Free, enjoy the amazing food and fun with my BelAmi and Flirt friends. I think I could say a lot about how special it was. In short: IT WAS OUTSTANDING! I’ve never been to the Maldives before, but I think it was not just about the beautiful place, but mostly about the people who were there together. I really can’t choose one thing that I remember more or what is my best memory, because everything was magical!
CF: With such a large following, what are some ways a new fan can steal your heart, or at least get your attention?
SB: Any fans who like me should follow my Instagram stories. I am really active there. You’ll always know what I’m up to. You’ll know where you can talk to me more and how to get my attention. Which is usually in chat, where I spend many hours, and I’m able to talk about anything.
CF: How did you come up with the idea of cooking shows? They are always a blast!
SB: Even before I started chatting I did a lot cooking. I made some of my own cooking videos and I’ve been cooking on some trips for other BelAmi guys. I love Thai, Vietnamese, Japanese and all Asian food, but also love to cook with good organic beef, fish and seafood. For lunches I usually make vegan dishes, to feel lighter for rest of day, and for dinner choose some good proteins from meat, always with vegetables. I just love to combine healthy ingredients and create dishes. As many of my fans know, I am also a big fan of chili these days! Twice I did chili challenges during contests days on flirt. I think many viewers remember that. (laughs)
CF: How do you relax when you’re not on cam? Any passions or hobbies?
SB: I am mostly active all the time, but massages and saunas are always on my to do list and I love it. Very deep Thai tissue massages make me feel like I’m in heaven. I do a lot of long-distance running. I run almost every day. It’s a huge passion and like a drug for me. If I don’t run for 2 or 3 days, I start feeling pretty bad. I did a few full marathons and many half marathons. My best time for a half marathon is 1:17. Overall I have a ton of hobbies: cooking, almost any sport, hiking, traveling, spending time with friends, dancing and singing. Whatever as long as every day is fun!
CF: Do you prefer privates or party chats, and why?
SB: I don’t do private shows often. I prefer the party mode. But if any fans want to, then we can always talk about private shows. I can be very generous, open minded and do almost whatever in private! Most of the time you’ll find me in party chat. I try to keep it fun. A bit of music, dancing, getting oily and flexing or dancing.
CF: What fetishes or roleplay scenarios do you enjoy exploring in your performances?
SB. Ever since I started doing live chat, I’ve discovered that my tastes are a lot broader than I ever imagined. But I need to keep some things a little bit of a secret (laughs). Anyone who wants to can explore with me in private.
CF: What was your most unforgettable on-cam experience?
SB: I am not sure how to answer this question. I’ve had so many good, crazy and funny experiences on cam, it’s hard to pick. I think I don’t have a single one which is really more special than the rest. I had a really crazy and unforgettable time in Cape Town with other BelAmi guys for Back in Africa, when we did a month camming from the same house. It was a special trip. I will remember it the rest of my life. Living with a group of guys in Africa, travelling and partying together while trying keep at least 2 guys online the whole time ... it was just a lot of fun!
CF: Do you have any performances coming up?
SB: I’m sure that I’ll be doing some live shows with BelAmi, but they tend to be organized on short notice. If anyone wants to hear about them, you should follow the BelAmiOnline twitter.

SB: Any advice can be interesting and good. You just need to use it wisely and make the most of it!
