pssst... I'm one of them... I celebrate more ancient traditions upon which Christmas is based... it looks like Christmas in my home - mistletoe, decorated tree, lights... Lights! I like to consider this the Holiday Season of Lights!!! this is the darkest time of the year (in the northern hemisphere), when our souls long for the light... that yearning for Light, both physically and spiritually, fuels us this time of year...

That of course is a valid response to the season... My response is different...
Each year at this time, I reverse the trend of my forefathers, and move a little closer to the equator.
My objective: eliminate all seasons by reaching the equator and slowly, without the world noticing, tilting the earth's axis to be perfectly orthogonal to the eccliptic.
I vow someday to never be able to see the north star nor southern cross!
