so I mentioned the food blessings yesterday, today we ate it for breakfast. I found the meaning behind the foods we place in the basket ..n* eggs - symbolize life and Christ's resurrection,n* bread - symbolic of Jesus,n* lamb - represents Christ,n* salt - represents purification, n* horseradish - symbolic of the bitter sacrifice of Christ, n* ham - symbolic of great joy and abundance.nnOn Easter morning, a special Resurrection Mass is celebrated in every church in Poland. At this Mass, a procession of priests, altar boys and the people circles the church three times while the church bells peal and the organ is played for the first time since they had been silenced on Good Friday. Following the Mass, people return home to eat the food blessed the day before. nnThe Easter table is be covered with a white tablecloth. The white tablecloth is indicative of the white swaddling cloth with which Our Lord was wrapped when he was placed in the Holy Sepulcher. On the middle of the table in most homes housewife will put colored eggs, cold meats, coils of sausages, ham, yeast cakes, pound cakes, poppy-seed cakes, and a lamb made of sugar. Polish Easter Soup called Zurek or White Barszcz is often served at the Easter meal, garnished with the hard-boiled eggs and sausage. There is also tradition to share blessed eggs with the members of the family and wish each other good health, happiness for the rest of the year.

My mom came over and she is staying with my sister till Monday night. I wanted to share some traditions with you regarding Easter in my country.
Today is Holy Saturday. Swieconka * Blessing of the Baskets
Swieconka (sh-vee-en-soon-kah) is one of the most enduring and beloved Polish traditions. Baskets containing a sampling of Easter foods are brought to church to be blessed on Holy Saturday. Our basket is a wicker one, we used same one for years. What we put inside? small pieces of bread, butter, few Easter colored eggs (coooked),sausage,cake,salt,pepper. Just tiny bits of each..we eat it all on Sunday bfast. The basket is traditionally lined with a white linen or lace napkin and decorated with sprigs of boxwood (bukszpan), the typical Easter evergreen. Poles take special pride in preparing a decorative and tasteful basket with crisp linens, occasionally embroidered for the occasion, and just enough boxwood and ribbon woven through the handle. Observing the beautiful foods and creations of other parishioners is one of the special joys of the event.Yes! We always try to have the prettiest one HAHA!
While in some older or rural communities, the priest visits the home to bless the foods, the vast majority of Poles and Polish Americans visit the church on Holy Saturday.

"My boots, lick them" I complied as I had no choice. I could smell the scent of her expensive women's boots. After she was satisfied her boots were perfectly clean I felt her place from above me a restraint into my mouth and pull a head harness tight around with the creaking of leather. Please be prepared to spend at least 15 min in private.
Once we agree on a date time, please confirm 30 min before the schedule ( by emailing me ) that you will actually show up.
sometimes things happen when we have to run late or cancel, I understand that, but please be respectful of my time and preparation I put into getting ready or not scheduling other sessions at that time.
